ProTexion
For GC project managers and estimators

SWP3 inspections on the phone. One fee per project.

ProTexion reminds your superintendent when the 7- or 14-day inspection is due, collects the report and geotagged photos on site, and tracks every deficiency until it is closed. Your office reviews each report without calling the field.

Designed by the people who run the inspections. ProTex Environmental, LLC, a Fort Worth stormwater compliance firm, designed ProTexion and uses it every day to generate site inspections on its own projects.

What you get

Fewer missed inspections. A cleaner record.

Schedule

Inspect on your schedule: every 7 days, every 14 days, and after ½" storms

Pick the 7- or 14-day cycle for the project. The superintendent gets a notification when the next inspection is due. Regularly scheduled inspections do not depend on memory. Bonus: ProTexion also includes a dedicated dewatering report for inspection of site de-watering activities.

Field

The report is completed on site

Superintendents inspect while they walk the job and finish the report on the phone, while conditions are fresh. Nothing gets rebuilt at the trailer on Friday.

Photos

Site photos with location coordinates

Every photo carries its GPS position. You can show exactly where a BMP failed and where it was repaired.

Deficiencies

Problems stay open until someone closes them

A deficiency found on one inspection is tracked until it is corrected. You see what is outstanding on each project instead of hoping it was fixed.

Review

Review and audit from the office

Project managers can review submitted reports without calling the site. When an owner, city inspector or TCEQ investigator asks for inspection history, the full record is there.

Cost

One license fee per project, from $149

No per-inspection charge. Superintendents inspect as often as the site needs them, including after ½" storm events (½" storm events must be manually initiated by the user), under the same license.

For estimators

Price it once. Carry it as a fixed line.

Per-report pricing ties inspection cost to the weather and the schedule, and it gives a busy superintendent a reason to skip an extra walk. One project fee gives you a single number for the bid and removes that reason.

Set your project length and cycle to see how many scheduled inspections one license covers, and which term fits.

TXR150000 & licensing answers

Common questions from General Contractors.

How much does ProTexion cost per project, and are 0.5" rain event inspections extra?

ProTexion charges a single one-time license fee per construction project: $149 for Tier 1 (up to 26 weeks), $219 for Tier 2 (up to 80 weeks), or $299 for Tier 3 (up to 130 weeks), with stackable 26-week extensions for $99. All scheduled 7-day or 14-day inspections, post-storm 0.5" rain event inspections, and daily dewatering reports are covered under the same flat license fee.

Which Texas / DFW cities require the 7-Day + 0.5" Storm Event inspection schedule?

While TPDES General Permit TXR150000 statewide lets operators choose between a 14-day + 0.5" rain schedule or a 7-day schedule, seven municipal MS4 jurisdictions in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex require both routine 7-day inspections and 0.5" rain event inspections: Arlington, Burleson, DFW Airport, Grand Prairie, Irving, Murphy, and Prosper. ProTexion automatically detects projects in these cities and applies the required 7-Day + 0.5" Storm Event schedule.

When does the license term clock start on a new project?

Your 26-, 80-, or 130-week license term does not start at checkout. It begins on the day your superintendent records the first inspection report, so you can set up the project and assign your field team ahead of groundbreak.

What if we also need a custom SWP3 binder, site map, or turnkey field inspectors in DFW?

ProTexion was built by ProTex Environmental, LLC (protexenvironmental.com). If you need a custom Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3) designed anywhere in Texas, STEERS eNOI permitting assistance, or turnkey in-person field inspections across the DFW Metroplex, visit protexenvironmental.com or submit your project at newprojectform.com.
